The weather in Sella

The bolted climbs of Sella are a fantastic playground for the committed climber but trad climbing on the massive El Divino face or the Puig Campana provides an enthralling  expedition in the mountains. Jose Miguel Garcia not only was at the forefront of developing the region’s sport climbs but is also an accomplished and qualified mountain leader.
With his expert help we ascended one of the classic lines on El Divino, the magnificent Espolon Pertemba. For the mountain, this is one of the easier climbs, with some 5+ sections (Hard Very Severe) but, as the Rockfax guide remarks “it’s a serious undertaking – the route finding is awkward and there is a fair amount of loose rock about”.
With a guide such as Jose Miguel, you can relax and enjoy the whole experience rather than fretting about whether you’re on the right route or if there will be a rockfall. Instead you can enjoy all the elements – the climbing, the magnificent views and even the evocative scents of the mountain herbs. Jose Miguel is also pretty clued up on the history of the area and so – if you’re interested – can tell you  the history of the landscape you are exploring.

Most importantly, after a big day on the hill, he can get you down swiftly and safely – the descent is steep, loose and ill-defined.
